About Me
By day, I am a prosecutor on the Texas Gulf coast where I run a recovery treatment court.
In the beginning, bending wire was my noctural mental therapy. A Zen meditation kind of thing. But being OCD, I was driven to rise to what I found combing the reaches of the web. Ultimately, my friends said you've gone way beyond hobby stage and here we are.
I've been fortunate enough to transform a hobby into an opportunity to spread beauty into the world one stone at a time. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind wrapped by me. On average it takes three to five hours to complete, using up to five or more feet of wire.
Being self-taught (with some pointers from generous mentors along the journey), I seek unusual and exotic styles to assimilate into my own application. Thus I am free to explore and employ various designs and styles to release the energy of the stone in whatever best suits that piece. I get strong intuitive impressions from the stones I wrap. While I choose them to work with, they ultimately dictate what dress they wear in the end.
I provide metaphysical descriptions for each piece because I believe the stone holds its own energy and allows the wearer to draw from that. The descriptions are from my readings of the book Love is in the Earth by Melody mainly.
One of my very first shows, I had a wonderful elderly lady buy a piece. She then told me she was going to put it in her will for her granddaughter to create a family keepsake. I've never forgotten the warm glow of joy I got from that. Part of my motivation for these humble offerings I share with you now.
I thank you for spending time with me. My deepest appreciation and hopes that you find beauty here and enjoy your visit.
